Transportation
The transportation information that follows is up-to-date as of the launch of the ASBA online registration site. Please be sure to check rates right before the conference to confirm pricing.
Buses will go between the two venues: You can plan a full day at either the Huntington or the Hilton, or mix AM and PM locations. A bus will go from the Hilton to Huntington in the morning, then go back and forth at lunchtime, and return from the Huntington to the Hilton at 4 PM. Remember that some time will be lost in travel midday. If you stay in a hotel other than the Hilton, the ASBA will not be responsible for your transportation. You're welcome, however, to jump on the shuttle from the Hilton to the Huntington and back to the Hilton again.
Parking at the Hilton Pasadena: Parking is available at the Hilton Pasadena garage for $9/day if you're only attending the conference for the day. The fee for overnight parking is $15/night. Valet parking is $21/night.
Parking at the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens, San Marino: Parking is available at the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens for free. The Huntington's Winter Hours are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (12:00 pm - 4:30 pm),5 Saturday & Sunday (10:30 am - 4:30 pm). Admission is $15 weekdays, $20 weekends. ASBA registrants will not pay the admission fee, but their guests will.
Parking at the Getty: Parking is available at The Getty garage for $8.00/day. Hours are: Tuesday–Thursday, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.; Sunday, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; Closed Mondays. Admission is free.
Parking at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden: Parking is available at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden for free. The Arboretum's hours are 9:00 am-4:30 pm, daily.
Getting to the Hilton Pasadena from LAX: Distance from hotel: 32 mi. Drive time: 1 hr. Directions: Take I-105 East to CA-110 North. The 110 ends in Pasadena and becomes Arroyo Parkway. Continue one mile to Cordova, turn right. Continue down Cordova to Los Robles and turn left. Hotel is at the corner of Cordova and Los Robles. Getting to the Hilton Pasadena from the Burbank Airport: Distance from hotel: 15 mi. Drive time: 20 min. Directions: Take I-5 South to CA-134 Freeway East to I-210 East. Exit Lake Avenue and turn right. Continue down Lake to Cordova, turn right. Proceed down Cordova to Los Robles Avenue and turn right. Hotel is located immediately on the right.
