Spend a glorious afternoon at the world-class Phipps Conservatory amid beautiful flora, viewing Linda Gist demonstrating watercolor, Libby Kyer sharing her colored pencil expertise and Joan McGann creating incredibly detailed black and white drawings. An additional treat is the botanical art exhibition by members of the Allegheny Highlands Botanical Art Society, our gracious hosts. Just a year ago on this day, the G-20 Summit was held right at Phipps – shouldn’t you visit, too? Limit 52. Fee $18. (includes entry fee)
The Digital Connection with Deb Shaw, 1:15pm-3pm
How we create our art hasn’t changed, but how we market it and interact with the world certainly has. Learn to make sense of the digital world including: scanning your art for reproduction, web sites, and the rise of social marketing (including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, blogging). Limit 75.
