Portfolio Sharing:
10am-12pm
Ever popular! Please consider sharing your work. Each artist has a table to display their work and share ideas and camaraderie with others. We do recommend that you stay at your table. Last year about 60 artists participated – beginners to advanced! Open to all. You must register to participate (see check-off box in registration form).

Art Papers Overview
Presentation with Kathie Miranda:
1-2pm
Kathie will show various examples of paper and discuss paper selection based on media. No fee - Limit 30.
Chapter Posters in the
Exhibit Hall:
1-4pm
These posters are great opportunity to see what chapters are doing to promote botanical art through exhibitions, workshops and other creative activities. Chapter representatives will be available from 1-2 PM to answer questions.
Technique Showcase:
1-4pm
Come observe and talk with this talented group of demonstrators. Irene Horiuchi will demo her etching techniques; Katura Reynolds focuses on scientific illustration; Ruth Arthur demos three different approaches to colored pencil; Gloria Whea-Fun Teng demonstrates Chinese brush painting techniques; Janice Sharp shares creating a full color book of your artwork from online services; and Bruce Wilson shares his subtle and dynamic graphite techniques. Drop in and drop out. No fee – open to all.
Small Works Exhibition
Reception and Fireside Chat at
The Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens:
6-9pm
Coach buses will whisk you away to the beautiful Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens, San Marino, for this reception. Buses depart the hotel at 5 PM and return at 9 PM.
Anyone attending the 2008 Annual Meeting may participate in the Small Works Exhibition (see the Small Works Exhibition page on this site, or the Call for Entries in the ASBA newsletter The Botanical Artist for details).
In the twinkling lights of the lovely California evening, gather around Huntington’s large outdoor fireplace for an informal “Fireside Chat” with artists Anne-Marie Evans, Jenny Phillips, Lizzie Sanders, Pandora Sellars, Alexander Viazmensky and Carol Woodin.
