Jesse's family company Pergamena has been preparing animal skins since 1550. Jesse experimented with animal skins as an artist’s material and investigated parchment, a material with a long history but not then in US production. He has refined the quality of parchment skins for use by artists, calligraphers, bookbinders, and other designers.
