The ASBA Silent Auction Needs Your Donations!

The Silent Auction will be held before the Annual Conference Banquet on Saturday evening, October 29, 2011. We urge you to make a donation. The proceeds support ASBA’s “Artist & Education Grants” and publication of “The Botanical Artist” journal. Both are extremely vital to ASBA’s mission. All gifts should be new, attractively presented and have a botanical theme.

A new twist this year is that the Silent Auction will begin at 5:00 instead of 5:30 and end at 7:00, allowing a half hour before the banquet to pay and pick-up items won.

One of the most generous contributions is original artwork, however prints are also appreciated. Both should be backed by foam board and include a clear protective covering. Other popular items include: books, handmade crafts, giftware, jewelry, stationary, scarves, art supplies and children’s items. Again all items should have an association with plants. Remember the majority of attendees travel by plane, so size and shape are important.

You can be part of the conference even if you can’t attend by making a donation to the Silent Auction.

Please Submit Your Donation Information by October 10th

Items brought to the conference that miss this deadline will be held over for next year’s Silent Auction.

To donate, contact Lynne Railsback by filling out the form. Include a description of your donation, value and whether you will be sending it ahead, or bringing it with you. If you are shipping your item, Lynne will give you mailing information. The Local Auction Committee is ready to receive your donations. We sincerely thank you for your support.
