About the ASBA 16th Annual Meeting & Conference
Activities will be held at the Holiday Inn Select University Center Pittsburgh, unless otherwise indicated—and there are several intriguing trips and tours! As always, there will be a wonderful mix of international, national and local artists, botanists and others involved in the world of botanical art. A range of workshops are offered, including those designed for beginners, tailored for the more advanced student, and unusual offerings for artists who want to experiment with something new. There are also pre- and post-conference Master Classes with world-class artists.
There are several activities that everyone will attend. These include the Thursday morning Portfolio Sharing (whether you display a portfolio or enjoy looking at others’), and the General Meeting and Luncheon. Thursday evening, is the opening reception of the Hunt Institute’s 13th International Exhibition. On Friday evening, everyone is invited to attend the Wildflower Forum panel discussion. Enjoy a light Italian Villa snack buffet and a cash bar. Saturday, of course, features the Silent Auction and Banquet with awards presentations.
Classes fill fast, so register ASAP to avoid disappointment. We look forward to seeing you in Pittsburgh!

Silent Auction Needs Your Donations!
Held prior to the banquet at the Annual Conference on Saturday, September 25, the Silent Auction is fun and exciting. Last year, the Silent Auction netted $24,000 which helps fund the ASBA Artist and Education Grants and supports the publication of The Botanical Artist. We encourage everyone to participate. Please donate items such as original artwork, contemporary or antique botanical art prints, books, cards, garden & art supplies, etc. Paintings/prints must be framed or matted, covered with acetate and should not exceed 16" x 20" in size. Cards/postcards should be boxed, bagged or tied with a ribbon in sets of 4 or more—sorry, we can't accept single cards.
To donate, contact Lynne Railsback by filling out the form. Include a description of your donation, value and whether you will be sending it ahead, or bringing it with you. If you are shipping your item, Lynne will give you mailing information. The Local Auction Committee in Pittsburgh is ready to receive your donations. We sincerely thank you for your support.
